Leadership Rooted in Service

Angela D. Scott is a Navy veteran, mother of three, and civic leader running to keep Santa Monica safe, affordable, and full of opportunity.

Santa Monica is at an inflection point. Families are being priced out, small businesses are feeling the pressure, and residents want a city that feels safe, responsive, and inclusive. Angela is running to protect what makes Santa Monica special while making sure more people can be part of its future.

Her commitment to service is personal. Raised in a family of educators and city workers, Angela believes city government should work for the people who keep communities moving.

As a mother of three daughters who attended public schools, Angela understands the need for stable housing, strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and real opportunity. Through youth mentorship, college access initiatives, and community partnerships, she has helped connect students to scholarships, careers, and futures beyond the classroom.

Angela brings practical leadership, lived experience, and a record of service to City Hall, with a focus on affordability, safety, public schools, small businesses, and a more sustainable Santa Monica.

Angela’s campaign is focused on practical solutions that strengthen safety, expand opportunity, and support long-term economic vitality across Santa Monica.

Opportunity & Affordability

Investing in Education & Our Future

Maintain the City’s commitment to supporting our public schools, students, and open spaces—while strengthening college, career, and workforce pathways that help young people and families thrive in Santa Monica.

Impact & Leadership

With nearly a decade of leadership at a AAA gaming company, Angela brings experience in data-driven decision-making, cross-sector collaboration, and building education and community-centered solutions that serve diverse populations.
